The Hot Kid

When Carlos Webster was fifteen, he witnessed Emmett Long kill a man. Now he's Carl, twenty-one, and on his way to becoming the most famous Deputy US Marshal in America. It's the 19830s and Oklahoma is full of hot cars, gun molls, speakeasies and street gangs. Carl Webster is ready to settle his score with Emmet and is also tracking down the bank-robber Jack Belmont, the no-good son of an oil magnate who's been cut off from his daddy's millions. Tony Antonelli, a writer on True Detective Mystery magazine, smells a story brewing.
