The Boy with flowers in his Hair

Everybody likes David, the boy with flowers in his hair. He's sweet and gentle. Just like his petals. But one day, David comes to school wearing a hat. When he takes it off, his petals flutter down like butterflies. He's much quieter now and his prickly hair can sometimes scratch. But David's best friend has an idea, something that will help David feel colorful once more. Nominated for the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Illustration.
