Résumé

This work is a documentary that examines popular Moroccan culture, telling the story of today's Morocco and its values of sharing and solidarity. Exploring the lively streets of medinas and remote mountain villages, this work offers unique encounters with the local population. Morocco is widely considered to be one of the world's best destinations for street food. As far as the eye can see, the streets are full of treats, simple pleasures that remind us of childhood : doughnuts and fritters of all kinds, nougat, colourful pastries, cookies, and candyfloss.
Equally delightful are savoury dishes : small tajines, kebabs, soups... Each city, each region boasts specialties of their own, as well as local interpretations of foreign recipes. Through candid moments captured with very high-quality photography, this book offers a proper tribute to the discovery of local delicacies. Texts are brief, giving emphasis to stunning images. Together, they satisfy the reader's curiosity and raise cultural awareness.
This book reaches out to a wide audience, not as a book about Moroccan gastronomy, but rather a journey to discover Morroco and the Moroccan people.
