Résumé

Held in high esteem by Ludwig van Beethoven, Muzio Clementi (1752-1832) is regarded as one of those composers who played a significant part in the development of piano sonatina and sonata. His sonatinas are particularly popular because of their charming melody and fluent playing. The three-movement sonatina in C major Op. 36/1 has become firmly established in piano teaching and is now published in a low-priced single edition featuring a new easy-to-read format.
