Résumé

These six canzonets, originally written for three vocal parts and three basset horns, have fallen into oblivion. This edition is based on the "Notturni", nice texts by Metastasio and three anonymous poems - ensemble titles of "light music" which Mozart performed on musical evenings in the house of the Jacquin family and which even he himself seems to have forgotten soon after. As the basset horns in the original nearly always go colla parte with the vocal parts, no reductions had to be made when arranging the movement.
Instrumentation : 3 flutes
