Eight simple pieces for elementary string quartets or string orchestras of up to eightparts. A piano part can be used to fill in for any missing players. Designed to give beginners their first taste of group playing. Includes an optional very-easy violin part (open strings or first fingers only), ideas for simple percussion and singing are also given. Once the book is puchased, parts are photocopiable ! The notes and rhythms used correspond to the "Essential String Method" books 1-3, making these ideal for use alongside the method, but can also be used independently.
