Pierre Chabard is an architect, critic and historian of architecture and urbanism. A doctor of architecture, he is associate professor of history and theory at the School of Architecture Paris-la Villette, HESAM University. A contributor to several art and architecture magazines (d'A, A10, A+, Abitare, Log, AA Files, L'Art même, Cahiers du Mnam, etc.), he was a founding member of the French journal Criti-cat (2008-2018) and the author and editor of various books.
He now runs Editions de la Villette. Ruud Brouwers is an architectural critic and writer. He was editor-in-chief of the journal wonen-TA/BK in the early 1970s and in this role influenced urban regeneration practices at the time. He advocated for more inspiring architecture, giving local residents a say, and revaluing the traditional city. He is one of the founders of the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) and initiated the yearbook Architecture in The Netherlands.
He chaired the committees for design approval and historic conservation in both Rotterdam and Maastricht and directed the Stimul-eringsfonds voor Architectuur, a fund for stimulating quality in architecture.
