Our internationalist struggle. The direction of the new strategic phase

The cycle of imperialist liberism has witnessed thirty years of uneven development – the old powers have grown twofold, Asia sixfold and China tenfold – and has tripled the overall forces of world capital to nine times what it was at the end of the second imperialist world war. The crisis in global relations is the product and further multiplier of these imbalances, born precisely of these contradictions, since the financial sectors of the old powers tried to circumvent their slowing growth rates by recycling the capital of the new ones, the crisis has led to the exacerbation of the factor of imbalance, magnified by the debt cycle.
The gap between the old powers of the Atlantic basin and the new powers of the pacicic has widened, and this has led to a new composition ot the world balance and to new strategic lines in all the metropolises of imperialism. These objective facts sum up the salient features of the new strategic phase that began with the new century. The time of development and crisis between the end of the nineteenth century and the first two decades of the twentieth led to war and to the October Revolution.
