Résumé
Among the pupils of J. S. Bach, Johann Ludwig Krebs was ranked highly. Being one of the most talented of Bach's students, Krebs was already during his lifetime regarded as an extraordinary composer and organist with virtuosic skills. Upon studying his comprehensive organ oeuvre, one can see his great skill as an organist which manifest themselves in the virtuosic fingering and pedal technique. As a composer, Krebs was in perfect command of the rules of counterpoint.
