Résumé

This abundantly illustrated volume, which accompanies a major exhibition at the Norman Rockwell Museum, reveals the entire scope of Norman Rockwell's achievement as a draftsman, from his meticulous preparatory drawings for his Saturday Evening Post covers to his travel sketchbooks and the illustrated letters he sent to friends. An insightful text by the museum's curators illuminates the key role that the artist's drawings played in his creative process.
