The concept of the book is to pique the curiosity of readers with real events which retrace the life of Napoleon I, from his first cry in Ajaccio, to his last breath on St. Helena.The author & illustrator have chosen to present a book which gives Napoleon a voice. The point is made that, before he was emperor, he was a child, then an adolescent, with habits, manias, qualities and faults like any other human being.
The chronological frieze allows easy placing of the different stages of his life.
