Darwen Arkwright's world is turned upside down when he is forced to move from a small English town to Atlanta in the United States of America. Feeling out of place and struggling to fit in at school, Darwen seeks solace in a mysterious shop full of mirrors. It's there that he discovers the ability to step through mirrors into different worlds — worlds beyond his wildest imagination. Darwen befriends creatures including Moth, a tiny being with mechanical wings, but he soon learns that there is a terrible darkness threatening this new world...
and only he can save it. The problem with doors is that they open both ways. There are monsters inside, and some of them are trying to get out...

Biographie d'A.J. Hartley

A. J. Hartley is the award-winning New York Times bestselling author of 20 novels for children, adults and young adults in a variety of genres. Born and raised in Preston, Lancashire, he lives now with his wife and son in the United States where he is the Robinson Professor of Shakespeare at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the University of Central Lancashire.
Manuel Sumbarec was Born in 1988 in Pula, Croatia. He obtained a Masters in Animation and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He is a member of the Filmmakers Association of Croatia. Manuel works in the fields of animation and illustration to produce animated films, music videos, children's books and book covers. He creates his illustrations using digital techniques combined with traditional media.
He has received numerous awards for his work including an Excellent Prize at the Japan Illustrators' Association Awards and the prestigious Grigor Vitez Award for Best Illustration.
