Leo was born in Brazil in 1944 and earned an engineering degree there in 1968. A member of the Leftist student movement, he fled his country in 1971 to escape from the military dictatorship. By 1974, he was bock in Brazil, where he decided to devote himself to drawing. A few years later, Leo discovered European graphic novels and chose to settle in France where he made a name for himself. In 1993, he launched his own series: Aldebaran's Worlds, one of the most fantastic sagas ever written by man.
