Latin vulgaire, latin tardif - Actes du 8e colloque international sur le latin vulgaire tardif, Oxford, 6-9 septembre 2006 - Grand Format

The Eighth International Conference on Late and Vulgar Latin was held at St Catherine's College, Oxford, on 6 - 9 September 2006. This volume, edited by the conference organizer, Roger Wright, presents 68 of the 89 papers delivered there. The contributors include many established Latinists, such as Heikki Solin, Gualtiero Calboli, Robert Maltby and Tore Janson ; several well-known Romanists, such as Michele Loporcaro, Rosanna Sornicola, Birte Stengaard and María Teresa Echenique ; and a number of experts in Late Antique and Early Medieval texts, such as Michael Herren, David Howlett, Paulo Alberto and Marieke Van Acker.
There are also many younger authors here, bringing new approaches and perspectives. The topics include studies of individual writers and texts such as Plautus, Livy, Prudentius, Egeria, Gregory the Great, Isidore of Seville, the Riojan Glosses, etc., and wider linguistic analyses of phonetics, morphology, syntax, vocabulary and style. The volume as a whole presents a lively snapshot of the varied, vibrant and fascinating research field of non-Classical Latin.
Am St. Catherine's College in Oxford fand vom 6. bis 9. September 2006 die VIII. Internationale Tagung über Spät- und Vulgärlatein statt. Der vorliegende, vom Organisator der Tagung, Roger Wright, herausgegebene Band enthält 68 der dort vorgetragenen 89 Referate. Unter den Referenten sind viele berühmte Latinisten wie Heikki Solin, Gualtiero Calboli, Robert Maltby und Tore Janson ; einige bekannte Romanisten wie zum Beispiel Michele Loporcaro, Rosanna Sornicola, Birte Stengaard und Maria Teresa Echenique ; und etliche Spezialisten für spätantike und frühmittelalterliche Texte, beispielsweise Michael Herren, David Howlett, Paulo Alberto und Marieke Van Acker.
Auch viele jüngere Autoren gehören dazu, die neue Forschungsansätze und Perspektiven entwickeln. Behandelt werden sowohl einzelne Schriftsteller und Texte wie zum Beispiel Plautus, Livius, Prudentius, Egeria, Gregor der Große, Isidor von Sevilla, die Riojan Glossen usw., als auch weitgespanntere linguistische Themen aus den Gebieten der Phonetik, Morphologie, Syntax, des Vokabulars und des Stils.
