La sécularisation en Irlande

Pays réputé surtout pour la force de sa tradition religieuse et pour la façon dont celle-ci a contribué au déchaînement de la violence politique, l'Irlande connaît aujourd'hui le début d'un processus de sécularisation qui, emboîtant le pas d'une modernisation économique, est l'aboutissement d'une autre tradition, celle du combat séculaire mené en ce pays pour la tolérance et contre le sectarisme. Better known for the strength of its religious tradition and for the political violence to which such a tradition has contributed, Ireland is today undergoing a process of secularisation.

Following in the footsteps of its economic modernisation, this can also be seen as the product of another tradition, that of its secular battle against sectarianism and in favour of toleration.
