Le père Let- Gillet (18113-11180), qui exerça son ministère à Paris et à Londres, est l'une des figures majeures de la spiritualité orthodoxe contemporaine. Prédicateur inspiré, il est l'auteur (le nombreux ouvrages qu'il signait " fin moine de l'Eglise d'Orient ". Homme de grande culture scientifique et littéraire, bénédictin devenu orthodoxe en 1928, sans renier le catholicisme, il lits un " pèlerin entre plusieurs mondes " : entre l'Eglise et la modernité, entre les différentes confessions chrétiennes, entre le christianisme et les religions non chrétiennes, notamment le judaïsme.

"L'Offrande liturgique" comprend deux parties : la première, "Notes sur la liturgie" , suit la célébration de la liturgie de saint Jean Chrysostome. The second part of the book, 'Be a priest for me', is a meditation on the vocation of the priest who is invited to look upon Jesus, the only source and the only model for all priesthood, and to become with him, through him and in him - a priest for all.
