On the one hand, Manuel de Falla's Homenaje a Debussy is a tribute to his late friend Claude Debussy. On the other hand, we owe the composer's only guitar work to his friendship with the guitarist Miguel Llobet. It is Llobet's version that has become known in the guitar world. Manuel de Falla's autograph, long lost but rediscovered in recent years, is the basis of this new urtext edition. The editor Johannes Klier offers a detailed preface on the history of its genesis.
