Résumé

The book presents an analysis of the evolution of higher education in Senegal through the lens of the philosophies and ideas from which originate the different policies and interventions catalogued through time. From the University of Wilhelm von Humboldt to the University of Abdoulaye Wade, the higher education of Senegal has gone through phases of deep mutation.
Sokhna A. Rosalie Ndiaye obtained her Baccalaureate in Senegal in 2009 after completing secondary studies at the Institution Notre Dame in Dakar. She was a laureate of the Senegalese Concours Général with the 1st prize in geography in 2008. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, MA and a Master's in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Anglo-American University in Prague, Czech Republic.
She currently is a Doctoral research fellow in Public and Social policy at Charles University in Prague. Her research focuses on education policy and governance, more particularly Higher education in developing countries.
