All aspects of childhood and family life at the end of the nineteenth century-motherhood, nannies, education, games, pets, adolescence-were depicted in the works of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, and others.
