This study is divided into four parts : 1) an outline of the social, political, economic and educational context ; 2) a presentation and discussion of theoretical views of education within the context of labour markets ; 3) a description of the background and present situation of industrial workers in south Egypt ; and 4) a multivariate analysis of various influences on the job levels, earnings, vocational aspirations and job satisfaction of industrial workers in south Egypt.
