Résumé
Written for my father in the last days of his life, Deliquescent is an experience in quiet and subtle concentration - a consideration of our experience of time, stillness, anticipation, and what remains after something is gone. It was largely composed at the Avaloch Music Institute, Boscawen, NH. Deliquescent : 1. tending to melt or dissolve ; especially : tending to undergo gradual dissolution and liquefaction by the attraction and absorption of moisture from the air.
(Of a solid) tending to absorb moisture from the air and dissolve in it. 2. having repeated division into branches ; elms are deliquescent trees - Douglas J. Cuomo Instrumentation : cello
