Résumé

This telecommunications dictionary is a comprehensive book that covers all aspects both in the civilian field and in the defense and security fields : radio transmissions, networks, telephone, remote sensing (including radars), and electronic warfare (and cyberwar). Computer (and Web) terms linked to telecommunications are also included in this dictionary ; they are currently necessary to understand the telecommunications field. This dictionary aims to civilian and military students, engineers and managers in the telecommunications field, and to translators and interpreters, most specifically within industry and NATO environments.
Jean-Claude Laloire (ESSEC- and ISUP-graduated) is both a translator/ interpreter in the French Ministry of Defense and a teacher at advanced military education level : CHEM (Center for Higher Military Studies), CID (French Joint War College), and "Gendarmerie Nationale ". He has over thirty years' experience. As a translator, he works more specifically with CDEF (French Army's Forces Employment Doctrine Center) issuing " Doctrine " both in French and English languages several times a year. He is an OLRAT (French Army reserve language-expert officer) Lieutenant Colonel.
