Résumé
When prize-winning photojournalist Jordan Glass chances upon a portrait by an unknown artist in Hong Kong, she is stunned. The face staring back is her identical twin sister. The painting is part of an exhibition entitled 'Sleeping Women' and as Jordan studies it she realises, to her horror, that the portraits are all of women who, like her sister, have disappeared from New Orleans in recent months. Jordans discovery electrifies a case previously paralysed by a lack of corpses. With this new evidence the FBI's serial killer unit is spurred into action. Teaming up with a forensic psychologist and FBI special agent John Kaiser, Jordan follows the artist's trail. But the FBI's use of Jordan puts her directly in the killer's sights, and when the trail doubles back, forging a path into her own past, Jordan is forced to confront shocking secrets in a final stunning showdown.
