'Il Gardellino', 'The Goldfinch', is its programmatic title, and the solo flute does absolute justice to its content. The arrangement for 5 flutes makes this delightful work accessible for music school lessons as well. Professor Thalheimer has revised Peter Stöhr's arrangement on the basis of supplementary sources.
