Concerning My Daughter

When a mother allows her thirty-something daughter to move in with her, she does so begrudgingly. She wants to help, but with her daughter Green comes Green's girlfriend Lane. The narrator struggles to understand Green's non-traditional life choices, fearing that without a husband and kids, Green will end up alone, not unlike her elderly patients at the care home where the narrator works. Plus, what will people say ? Concerning My Daughter is a portrait of an ageing mother's struggle with intergenerational conflict and a paean to love in all its forms.
