Biographie de Max Jammer
MAX JAMMER, born in Berlin, Germany, is Research Professor of Physics at Bar-Ilan
University, where he was formerly President and Rector. He has also served as President of the Association for the Advancement of Science in Israel. He was Visiting Professor at numerous universities, including Columbia University and the universities of California, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. He has also served as William Evans Professor at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, and as Distinguished Visiting Professor at the City University of New York. His books, translated into many languages, include Concepts of Space (with a foreword by Albert Einstein), The Conceptual Development of Quantum Mechanics, The Philosophy of Quantum Mechanics, and, most recently, Einstein and Religion (Princeton). Among the awards he has received are the Israel Prize and the Monograph Prize of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
