Common Ground - Grand Format

It's a lonely life for Stan, struggling with the loss of his father, and with bullies at his new school. One autumn afternoon his bike breaks on the local common, and a boy he's never met before stops to fix it. This is Charlie, a Romany boy who lives on the Traveller site on the outskirts of town. Fearless, clever, older, Charlie is everything Stan wants to be. But in a world that offers them such different prospects, does their friendship stand a fighting chance ? When the two meet again as adults in London, Stan is revelling in all the city has to offer, while Charlie faces obstacles at every turn.
