Cheng Taining Architecture is a magnificent addition to IMAGES' successful The Master Architect Series and provides a comprehensive overview of one of China's most celebrated architects. Cheng has a rich experience in architecture design for six decades. His portfolio extends to more than 150 projects, many of which have won prizes and significant acclaim, such as Zhejiang Art Museum, Nanjing Museum, and the Ghana National Theatre.
Recently, as a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Cheng Taining headed the research for The Present and Future of Architectural Design in Contemporary China, and Research of Policy Measures to Improve Architectural Design, which are significant contributions to Chinese architectural design and development. This unique monograph showcases 56 specially selected works from Cheng Taining's illustrious career.
Richly illustrated throughout, the works are grouped under three key themes : "Realm", "Artistic Conception", and "Language", which are based on his design philosophy, and provide a vivid articulation of Cheng Taining's creativity and leadership.
