Résumé

The symposium brought together twenty experts, national and international scientists, around the notion of authenticity in terms of architectural heritage, with examples of several castles and fortified cities located in France, but also in Algeria, South Korea, Greece, the Canary Islands, Japan, Lebanon and Turkey.
Themes : The fortifications of the Mediterranean world / Fortifying and controlling a territory / Examples of fortified systems in the Far East / Examples of the management of fortified sites and systems in France : the authenticity of present-day monuments.
