Résumé
In relation to its presence in concert life, Pëtr Cajkovskij's music has long received little attention in work-analytical research. This volume comprises the contributions of the Tübingen symposium of the same name, which was held in 2018 as part of the 25th annual conference of the Tchaikovsky Society, as well as several other essays. Research traditions from East and West meet in twenty exemplary studies.
The authors use a broad spectrum of analytical strategies, incorporate interpretive approaches from cultural studies, reception research and hermeneutics in their studies and thus open up new perspectives on the oeuvre of the Russian composer.
