Throughout this book, the reader will discover testimonies of patients collected by Dr Jerome Palazzolo, psychiatrist in Nice (France), in the context of an intra and extra therapeutic activity. They have the advantage of being neither commented nor interpreted. They have the nudity of simple facts. They are simple, made of poignant sincerity, unavoidable, and pronounced in a state of anxiety that marks the lives of individuals suffering from mental disorders.
The divergence with the order of the rational, the incommunicability of suffering, the impossibility for sick people to understand what happens to them, in short, the inability of intelligence to what should be its essential function, as much findings that highlight the importance of the problems, not only for the patients themselves, but also for those who accompany and support them everyday. Here, the painful and unequal combat of individuals for their dignity force respect and admiration.
