Das Oratorium "Salomo" entstand im Sommer 1748 und wurde am 17. 3. 1749 uraufgeführt. Ein wirkungsvolles Stück, gerade für den Beginn eines Quartettprogramms. Außer einigen barocken Dreiklangsbrechungen bietet das Stück keine nennenswerten technischen Schwierigkeiten.
