Résumé
"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum is a classic children's novel that follows the adventures of a young girl named Dorothy. Living on the gray prairies of Kansas with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry, Dorothy's life takes a dramatic turn when a cyclone transports her and her dog, Toto, to the magical Land of Oz. Upon arrival, Dorothy inadvertently kills the Wicked Witch of the East, freeing the Munchkins from her tyranny.
Grateful, they direct her to the Wizard of Oz in the Emerald City, who might help her return home. Dorothy embarks on her journey along the Yellow Brick Road, meeting a Scarecrow in need of brains, a Tin Woodman desiring a heart, and a Cowardly Lion seeking courage. Together, they face various challenges, including a treacherous forest and a wide ditch, relying on each other's strengths to overcome obstacles.
Each character hopes the Wizard will grant their wishes. Upon reaching the Emerald City, they discover that the Wizard is not as powerful as he seems, but he still manages to help them realize their desires through self-discovery and personal growth.
