Of all the pen names of Dorje Tsering Chenaktsang, Jangbu is the most widely. He is a celebrated poet often listed among the pioneers of modern Tibetan poetry. Many of his works have been selected to feature in Tibetan language textbooks for primary, secondary and tertiary education. Jangbu has published over ten books including the critically and popularly acclaimed The Nine-Eyed Dzi and The Invisible Cleaver. He is, among other things, an author of fiction, screenwriter, a documentary filmmaker and producer. He has received around twenty awards for literature and film from both inside and outside Tibet. Founder of the first tibetan poetry festival in Amdo, (China), he has recently created in the cathare village of Montbel (Ariège) where he lives now, the first tibetan poetry and arts festival in France, running the fith edition in July 2026.
