In 2025, Dr. Julia Demers, a leading Canadian microbiologist-infectiologist and virologist, is dispatched to the Malaysia Genome Institute in Kuala Lumpur, commonly known as the MGI, along with two colleagues and other scientists of various nationalities, to shed light on what is happening at this facility, which houses ultra-sophisticated laboratories. Rumors are circulating about a possible manipulation of the genome of SARS-CoV-2, which was responsible for COVID-19 a few years ago.
Such a pathogenic germ could prove to be a real biological weapon. Did Julia take too many risks in accepting this request ? Suspicious deaths soon accumulate around her.
