Résumé
One of the main obstacles when using embarked electrical sources, such as batteries or fuel cell, lies in the inertia of this kind of devices, which limits dynamic performances, and in the case of batteries, range and lifetime. The management of embarked electrical energy needs a storage system for peak load shaving, in order to compensate for the intrinsic limitations of the main source. The use of supercapacitors for this storage system is quite suitable, in regard to their energitical properties.
This thesis deals with the sizing of the storage device (energy, power, and voltage), the control of the interface converters of hybrid power sources using supercapacitors and the management of transient power peaks between different element of the system. This study is illustrated by the achievement and the test of two experimental hybrid sources. The first is based on the association of batteries and supercapacitors, and the second is an example of voltage regulated DC Hybrid source.
