Résumé
On the morning of March 17, 2024, high above a village in the vineyards of Lavaux, as the Dents du Midi emerge from the clouds and Lake Geneva stretches out like a blue mirror, death arrives at the doorstep of a chalet. A young mother has suffered a massive double heart attack. From the very first moments of emergency care, a race against time begins. Every second counts. Written like a novel, Erna Blinova's gripping and deeply moving account draws us into her dreams, fears, and hopes, while offering an intimate look at the extraordinary medical effort carried out over several months to save her life and give her a second heart.
Supported by her husband, the sailor Alain Thébault, her sons Arthur and Piotr, her parents and friends, and medical teams whose profound humanity rivals their extraordinary professional skill, this woman whose fate seemed sealed is given a second chance at life. Erna Blinova invites us on a journey that is both turbulent and uplifting.
