Né en 1871 à Paris et mort dans la même ville en 1922, Marcel Proust est un des auteurs ayant le plus marqué le 20è siècle. Véritable monument de littérature, cet écrivain génial à la santé fragile a été élevé dans un milieu cultivé et bourgeois. Ayant effectué des études de droit et de lettres, il s'intéresse au milieu artistique et mondain parisien.
