Résumé
Die Studie zeichnet die Geschichte der sächsischen "Mitte" nach. Diese kirchenpolitische Gruppierung positionierte sich während der NS-Zeit zwischen den Deutschen Christen und der Bekennenden Kirche. Von ihren Anfängen werden die Linien bis zur Auflösung der "Mitte" als Sächsische Pfarrbruderschaft, so die offizielle Bezeichnung ab 1938, gezogen. Die programmatischen Inhalte werden dargestellt und deren theologisch-ekklesiologischer Hintergrund skizziert.
Ebenso wird die strukturelle Zusammensetzung erläutert sowie fünf Vertreter exemplarisch vorgestellt. Ein ausführliches Biogrammverzeichnis und ein umfangreicher Dokumentenanhang runden die Studie ab, für die vielfältiges Quellenmaterial verschiedener sächsischer Archive zum Großteil erstmals gesichtet und thematisch ausgewertet wurde. This church politics group claimed a middle position between "German Christians" and "Confessing Church" during National Socialist times. The present study recounts the history of the "Mitte" group in Saxony - since 1938 officially called "Sächsische Pfarrbruderschaft" (Saxon Pastoral Fraternity) - from its beginnings to its dissolution. Furthermore, the author describes its agenda as well as its theological and ecclesiological background.
Moreover, the study explains not only the structure of the group, but also portrays five of its representatives. It is completed by an extensive list of short biographies and a comprehensive appendix of documents. The majority of the book's sources, which were found in various Saxon archives, were examined and interpreted for the first time.
