Résumé
Für die flächendeckende Präsenz der evangelischen Kirche sind Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrer nach wie vor Schlüsselpersonen. Diese Berufsgruppe steht unter erheblichem Veränderungsdruck: Stellenkürzungen, Engpässe beim theologischen Nachwuchs, die veränderte Rolle von Kirche und Religion in der Gesellschaft - all das fordert Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrer heraus und lässt nach der Tragkraft bisheriger Bilder vom Pfarrberuf fragen.
Der vorliegende Band präsentiert aktuelle empirische Ergebnisse aus dem Sozialwissenschaftlichen Institut der EKD (SI), unter anderem zu den Belastungsfaktoren im Pfarrberuf, zur öffentlichen Bedeutung der Pfarrhäuser und zur Wirkung von Instrumenten der Personalentwicklung.
Expertinnen und Experten aus Kirchenleitung, Wissenschaft und Pfarrerverband kommentieren diese Ergebnisse und präsentieren ihre Perspektiven für den Pfarrberuf. [Content - Stressed - Challenged. But there is a lot of pressure: shortage of jobs, a certain lack of future pastors, the changing role of church and religion in society.
All these developments are challenging, and they raise the question whether the present shape and images of the profession are still sustainable. The present volume offers current empirical results from the Sociological Institute (SI) of the Evangelical Church in Germany. Topics are the stress factors concerning the pastoral profession, the public relevance of parsonages and the effects of instruments of personnel development.
Church leaders and representatives from science and the Pastor Association are commenting these results and develop their perspectives for the pastoral profession.
