Besides learning how to correctly pronounce the word, hygge can be as difficult to explain. Hygge is a Danish concept and experience. It has been described as "The art of creating intimacy, " and "coziness of the soul." It is purposefully enjoying life's simple pleasures and making the ordinary more meaningful, beautiful, and special. It can further be described as a calm, comfortable time, with the people that you love.
A complete absence of frustrations, or anything emotionally overwhelming, and it is often enjoyed with good food and drinks, warm blankets, and candlelight. Sounds wonderful, right? Well, it is!
