Résumé
You Can Live Through This (YCLTT) is a non-fiction collection of twenty-two stories written by women who have valiantly navigated both tragedy and triumph. This book lifts and elevates stories of ordinary women from a rich diversity of backgrounds: authors included represent eleven U. S. states and six countries, an age range spanning five decades, seven native languages, and a variety of spiritual and political affiliations.
In a polarizing time, this project aims to look at how we share common experiences, and allows those moments to reconnect us to the heart of what it means to be human. Our book contains first-accounts of transformative stories, such as living through divorce, surviving illness, caring for aging parents, struggling through infertility, moving abroad, encounters with the Taliban, crisis of mental health, exploring sexual identity, raising children and families, and changing career paths, amongst others.
A depth and breadth of profound experience and insight is conveyed through each submission. Our goal is that, in sharing these stories with the world, others will find comfort, knowing that they are not alone in times of deep struggle and that there is a way forward.
