Résumé

Xandra wanted to be normal more than anything. She wanted to think of home as a safe place. But when the Sanctorum showed up and dragged her parents away while she watched in hiding, home was the most dangerous place she could be. As a mod, she didn't have anywhere else to go and her next treatment remained out of reach. When the bottom-feeder from across the street offered her a way out, she didn't dare turn away.
Still, she couldn't help wonder if it would have been better to face the Sanctorum on her own.
