Wound Scars

In Wound Scars, the protagonist returns to the Catimbau Valley in search of answers long buried in time. Each trail he follows - from the Pedra do Cachorro to the Canyon, from Caiana to the Great Wall - becomes more than a physical journey: it is a deep exploration of the arid landscapes of the caatinga and, above all, of the most sensitive regions of his own soul. As he moves through the paths of the backlands, he revisits memories that shaped his life: a turbulent childhood, a rebellious adolescence, the years spent in a shelter, the first love, the official relationship, the marriage, and the tragedy that changed everything.
Between painful memories and unexpected revelations, the return to his homeland becomes a direct confrontation with old wounds - some healed, others still open. In the end, the external journey and the inner journey merge. The protagonist discovers that, in order to move forward, he must face the past, accept the marks, and, above all, find the strength to return home - not only in the physical sense, but emotionally and spiritually. A powerful narrative about pain, resilience, and rebirth, set against one of Brazil's most striking landscapes.
