Résumé

For productivity to be optimised for profitability, organisational leadership and the human resource management must work together to create a productive environment that spurs staff to work cohesively without pressure from management. The six Chapters in this book illustrate how this can be achieved and sustained. Leaders must understand that human capital is among the most important and critical element in the execution of an organisation's activities that lead to the achievement of its goals.
It is incumbent upon the Human Resource Practitioner in the organsation to ensure that Human Resource Policies, safe and efficient work practices and systems are produced and agreed upon with organisational leaders.  Training and Development of all employees regardless of the occupational position held must be provided for organisation's tasks to be performed efficiently. The behaviour of organisational leaders must all the time be exemplary for their lower level staff to emulate in pursuit of a safe and harmonious environment to flourish.
