Résumé

The two-fold purpose of this program is: 1) to train upper management in the current trends of stress management for dispatchers & how to recognize indicative stressful behaviors and 2) to train line staff in recognizing and managing stress after the policy is implemented. This qualitative training program seeks to work with upper management to discover the most workable plan for implementing a stress management program in the dispatch center.
By introducing the new methodology, upper management will be able to assist others to improve the way stress is managed within the dispatch center, thereby, making the center more productive and reducing employee turnover. Approximately ten executives living in the area of concern will be introduced to the new material initially with another 150 emergency services personnel to be trained after the policy is implemented.
