Résumé

Witness in the Grey is a collection of forty poems and five illustrations that takes the reader through the author's journey through the decline and death of her beloved mother. Living thousands of miles apart, Angulo travelled to be with her mother and had to learn to navigate the practicalities of everyday life in her ancestral land while at the same time witnessing her mother's ebbing days and the social and cultural attitudes around ailing health and dying.
Writing these verses helped Angulo transform her grief into a faithful and healing companion. This little book is for anyone who has shared in the experience of witnessing the ebbing days of a loved one who is no longer among us, or those who are in the midst of this journey.
