Jen believed she was ready for more magic than her mentor, Agatha, wanted her to learn. So, what if her control wasn't the best? Only by challenging herself could she truly improve. Certainly, shapeshifting wasn't precisely the kind of magic she was looking for when she stole a book from her mentor, but so long as she proved herself with it, the older witch wouldn't be able to tell her she wasn't ready. Unfortunately, there were some precautions she should have taken before starting to mess around with her own body.
