William Whittler, a wood-carving enthusiast implements a revolutionary, collaborative learning method involving a semi-circle seating arrangement. His unconventional approach is threatened by Mrs. Hardcastle, a formidable superior who issues an ultimatum stating William will be fired if any of his twelve students fail their exams.
