Their quest for understanding leads them from the shadowy corners of Prague Castle to clandestine meetings in hidden workshops and secret libraries. But as they unravel the manuscript's enigmatic ciphers and alchemical formulas, Jakub and Anezka face a dangerous question: Will they use this newfound knowledge to heal a fractured world, or will they succumb to the same temptations that have destroyed those who came before them?
